Regular visitors to The Nest may recall the original iteration of The Nest Code as a rather tatty and yellowing bit of paper tacked up in the entrance lobby! We’re delighted that the long-promised permanent version is now up and live – with huge thanks to fabulous artist (and former Nest resident) Gayatri Pasricha, who turned our words into art.

Kind of loosely inspired by the Pirate Code, the Nest Code gives Talking Birds’ staff and residents, plus visitors to the building, an at-a-glance daily reminder of the values that underpin, and thread through, our work. Essentially why (and how) we do what we do.

Gayatri’s installation picks up the colours used on the walls in the studios at The Nest, and fills the building entrance with warmth, joy and purpose – even more so when the afternoon sun shines across it!

We love it! What do you think?

THE NEST CODE

What if this was a space to explore Regenerative Creative Practice?

What if this was a safe space to collaboratively imagine and practice better futures?

What if this was a space where care and access were at the centre of everything?

What if this was a space where we step as lightly on the planet as we can?

What if this was a space where we explore together what it means to be truly regenerative in our practice and our relationships?

What if this was a space where we do things differently?

What if all it takes is love, kindness and community?

Thanks also due to Matt for doing most of the work to get it up on the wall!
